Roberta Salgado, Founder & Artisan of Owl's Touch
Hi! I’m Roberta Salgado, the creative mind behind Owl’s Touch, an artisan creative studio built for brands that want to launch beautifully, communicate with meaning, and sell with strategy.
I’m a Creative Marketing & Social Media Specialist, mentor, and storyteller guided by the belief that selling should feel meaningful, not mechanical. I work with artisan and product-based brands to transform products into clear offers, campaigns into stories, and digital presence into experiences customers can recognize, trust, and remember.
My approach blends creativity with structure. I grew up around manufacturing, spent years working with process and quality management in the beverage industry, and later brought that operational mindset into marketing. Because of that, I don’t believe in random content or disconnected ideas. I build connected systems where social media, e-commerce, email marketing, launch campaigns, visuals, packaging, and customer experience all work together with one purpose: to create desire before the sale and consistency after it.
What I create is deeply intentional. I take the dream behind a product and shape the story around it — from the way it is positioned and presented to the way a customer discovers it, buys it, receives it, and remembers it.
That is also why Owl’s Touch was created for brands with craft, care, character, and a real story behind what they make. Wineries, farms, cheese makers, artisans, mentors, creators, makers, and small businesses with soul. To me, “artisan” is not about being small. It is about pride in the process, attention to detail, and the courage to create something with identity.
My work is handmade in the best way: personal, thoughtful, practical, detailed, and never built from one-size-fits-all formulas. Through creative direction, digital templates, launch systems, e-commerce experiences, storytelling, mentorship, campaign assets, unboxing details, and branded tools, I help businesses build a world around what they sell.
Because I believe every enchanted product holds an unforgettable and meaningful story.
My job is to help that story be seen, felt, remembered — and bought.
Proudly Artisan. Launching Big.
Lifestyle & Studio
Where are you from?
I was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil — a place full of color, movement, warmth, and personality. I think a little bit of that energy still finds its way into everything I create.
What does your life look like outside the studio?
I live in Michigan, surrounded by woodland, with my husband and our three dogs: Tinker, who came with me from Brazil, Buddy, adopted in Miami, and Ivy, adopted here in Michigan.
What do you love doing when you are not designing?
Kayaking is one of my favorite ways to disconnect and recharge. I also have a deep love for nature, probably because I spent many childhood and teenage summers camping with my mom.
What are your favorite little things?
Figs, cacao, and chocolate. My grandmother had a cacao tree at home when I was growing up, so cacao has always felt a little nostalgic to me.
City girl or nature girl?
Both, apparently. I was born in Rio de Janeiro and now work from a home studio tucked into the woods of Michigan. Somehow, that combination makes perfect sense to me.
Do your dogs ever join you at work?
“Join” might be a generous word. They supervise. Sometimes very closely.
Did you always know you would become a designer?
Almost. I fell in love with design in high school, around 1997. But my teachers thought I was especially good at algorithms and software development, so my path naturally moved toward technology first.
So… what is your actual professional background?
I have a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems and an MBA in People Management. Before moving fully into the creative world, I spent ten years working for AmBev, one of the largest companies in Brazil.
What is your creative superpower?
Giving products a world to live in. I love taking something that already exists and asking: How can we make people feel more when they see this? That is usually where the story begins.
Why do you create templates?
Because not every small business can hire a designer at every stage. My templates give entrepreneurs a strong creative starting point so they can build a polished brand faster, while still making it feel like their own.
What makes your studio different?
I have a slightly unusual mix: design, marketing, technology, process, storytelling, and product thinking. I care about how something looks, but I also care about how it works, how it sells, and how the customer experiences it.
